Book Donations
The Library accepts donations of New and Gently Used condition items ONLY.
Our procedures have changed. Please bring items inside during business hours to be approved by staff. Donated books should be in good condition with no tears, missing pages, writing or highlights, or ex-library copies. Non-fiction should have been published within the last five years. No textbooks, encyclopedias or magazines. We are unable to accept books which are dirty, moldy, or smelly.
We no longer accept Magazines. Please see below for a full list of items we accept.
Due to limited storage space at the library, please limit boxes of donated items to a maximum of 2 boxes per family during normal business hours.
Materials left at book drops and outside the library will be considered illegal dumping as per Nevada Revised Statute NRS 444.630.
Accepted Items in good, clean condition:
Hardcover & paperback fiction books
Hardcover & paperback nonfiction no older than five years
DVDs
Audio Book CDs
Music CDs
Items Not Accepted:
Books in poor condition (this includes mold, dust, cobwebs, etc.)
Encyclopedias
Textbooks
Magazines
Medical Books
VHS tapes
Cassette tapes
