Douglas Area Rural Transit (DART) Services
Douglas Area Rural Transit (DART) is committed to providing transportation to the residents of Douglas County. We offer two options for general public, senior, and ADA riders. All of our buses are equipped with wheelchair lifts and bike racks for your convenience.
DART Express Route:
The DART Express operates on scheduled routes with designated stops and is open to the general public. It provides reliable, safe, and affordable transportation to key destinations, including shopping centers, medical facilities, and the Douglas County Community & Senior Center.
This deviated fixed-route service is designed to serve Minden, Gardnerville, and the Gardnerville Ranchos. Transfer points along the route provide access to Carson City and South Lake Tahoe via the Tahoe Transportation District (TTD).
The service is best suited for passengers who do not qualify for or require Dial-A-Ride but still need accessible and dependable transportation within the community.

DART Dial-A-Ride is a curb-to-curb, shared-ride transportation service designed for seniors age sixty (60) years and older, as well as ADA-certified riders of any age who are unable to use fixed-route service.
This service supports mobility and independence by providing access to essential destinations such as medical appointments, shopping, community events, and other daily activities.
All rides require an advance reservation, with scheduling requested at least five (5) days prior to the trip. DART is committed to providing safe, reliable, and courteous service while complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 and U.S. Department of Transportation requirements.
