- Phone: (775) 783-6036 Type(s) of volunteer opportunity: CERT volunteers support the Douglas County Office of Emergency Management by learning disaster preparedness skills such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and basic disaster medical operations. CERT members can assist during disasters by assisting first responders, operating shelters, and performing community preparedness outreach.
