Topaz Ranch Estates, NV –Douglas County, East Fork Fire, and the U.S. Wildland Fire Service are asking the public to AVOID THE EAGLE FIRE AREA.
Firefighting operations are currently being impacted by people entering or remaining in the fire area. The presence of unauthorized personnel is preventing East Fork Fire crews and aircraft from safely completing firefighting operations.
Please stay out of the area until officials announce it’s safe to return and do not enter closed areas or restricted fire zones. Your presence creates additional safety hazards for firefighters and can prevent aircraft from safely conducting firefighting operations.
Road and Water Closures
The following areas are closed to allow firefighters and aircraft to safely conduct firefighting operations:
- Minnehaha Canyon at Canyon Road
- Ricky Canyon off Upper Colony in Wellington
- Topaz Lake — closed until further notice to allow firefighting aircraft to safely access the water for fire suppression operations.
Please do not enter these areas while closures are in effect. Obey all posted closures and directions from fire personnel.
