Minden-Tahoe Airport Hosts 2025 Airport Discovery Day Wings & Wheels Open House with Free Admission
Minden, NV – Join us in celebrating National Aviation Week at the annual Minden-Tahoe Airport Discovery Day: Wings & Wheels event! Officials at the Minden-Tahoe Airport are thrilled to welcome the public once again for a day of aviation, excitement, and community fun on Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1146 Airport Rd, Minden, NV 89423. Admission is free and open to all ages.
Airport Discovery Day promises a fun-filled day packed with aviation-themed activities, live demonstrations, and family-friendly entertainment. The event will begin with a complimentary pancake breakfast, perfect for fueling up before a day of discovery.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet local pilots, explore static aircraft displays, and visit an impressive car show hosted by the Douglas Dukes, a vibrant local car group showcasing everything from vintage classics to modern speedsters.
A highlight of the event will once again be the unforgettable experience provided by Legacy Airbase, offering select veterans the chance to take to the skies in historic aircraft—including T6s and Stearmans. Last year, one of the honored veterans was 100 years old, making the flight a deeply emotional and inspiring tribute.

We’re proud to offer this free, family-oriented event once again.”
