Douglas County Community Services Foundation selected to receive a donation for a second year
MINDEN, Nev. – The Douglas County Community Services Foundation recognizes the Douglas County Rodeo for its continued commitment to local youth and community facilities through generous contributions benefiting youth scholarships and the Douglas County Fairgrounds.
For the second consecutive year, the Douglas County Rodeo donated to the Douglas County Community Services Foundation to support youth scholarships. This year’s $1,000 donation will help provide local youth with access to recreation programs, activities, and opportunities offered through Douglas County Community Centers.
In addition to the scholarship donation, the Douglas County Rodeo provided in-kind improvements to the Douglas County Fairgrounds, including footing for the arena. The contribution was made possible through community partnerships between Douglas County Rodeo and Knox Excavating Inc., Sierra Tahoe Ready Mix, Inc., and Mountain West Construction. These partnerships helped improve the arena and support the continued use of the Fairgrounds for rodeos, equestrian events, and other community activities.
“Partnerships like this make a meaningful difference in our community,” said Douglas County Community Services Director Brook Adie. “The Douglas County Rodeo continues to demonstrate its commitment to Douglas County by investing in our youth and in the facilities that bring our community together. We are incredibly grateful for their continued generosity and support.”
The Douglas County Community Services Foundation thanks the Douglas County Rodeo for its continued partnership and for recognizing the importance of investing in both local youth and community spaces.
