Gardnerville Elementary Kids Club Participants Honored by Local DAR Chapter for Patriotic Project

Gardnerville, NV – Participants in the Gardnerville Elementary School Kids Club were recently recognized by the local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) for their outstanding creation of a paper American flag, earning praise for their creativity, teamwork, and patriotic spirit.

The Daughters of the American Revolution is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to historic preservation, education, and patriotism. Through youth recognition programs, community service, and educational outreach, DAR chapters across the country inspire appreciation for American history and civic values.

The Kids Club students proudly designed and assembled a paper American flag as part of a creative project that celebrated patriotism and teamwork. Their thoughtful work and enthusiasm captured the attention of the local DAR chapter, which presented the group with an award recognizing their efforts.

This recognition highlights the importance of providing meaningful opportunities for youth to engage in activities that foster creativity, collaboration, and civic pride. Projects like this not only encourage artistic expression but also help young participants develop a deeper appreciation for their community and country.

“We are incredibly proud of our Kids Club participants for the heart and effort they put into this project,” said Kids Club leader Lisa McGee. “It was wonderful to see their creativity recognized by an organization so deeply committed to education and patriotism. We are grateful to the local DAR chapter for supporting and celebrating our youth.”

The recognition serves as a reminder of the positive impact community partnerships can have in encouraging young people to learn, create, and connect with the values that help strengthen our communities.
