Douglas County to Hold Public Hearing on Potential State CDBG Funding Applications
Minden, NV – Douglas County Community Development will hold a public hearing to discuss potential applications for funding through the next fiscal year’s State Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program and to solicit public input on possible projects and activities.

The funding cycle under discussion covers July 1, 2027, through June 30, 2028.
Eligible activities under the State CDBG Program include public facility and public improvement projects and planning studies. Activities funded through the program must meet one or more of the national objectives established under CDBG federal statutes:
- Benefit low- to moderate-income households or persons;
- Aid in the elimination of slums and blight; or
- Address an urgent community development need.
The purpose of the public hearing is to provide Douglas County residents with an opportunity to learn more about the program, discuss potential funding opportunities, and suggest ideas for activities that could be included in a future application.
There are currently no proposed projects submitted for consideration.
A final public hearing will be held at a later date to discuss, approve, and rank applications before they are submitted to the State.
