Welcome to the Douglas County Grants and Funding portal. We are committed to investing in our community by supporting the incredible work of local non-profits and partner agencies. Over the years, our grant programs have helped transform lives right here in Douglas County.
For example, the Carson Valley Community Food Closet recently utilized funds to bolster their Senior Commodities program, increasing access to fresh produce for hundreds of local seniors by an astounding 6300%. The Kids and Horses program used their funding to partner with Partners Across Our Community (PAC), teaching vital job, social, and independent living skills to young adults with disabilities. Additionally, the UNR Extension used grant funds to host educational classes and build a low-water use demonstration pollinator garden for the community to enjoy and learn from.

One Nevada Community Funding
The One Nevada Community Funding program allocates resources established through the Agreement on Allocation of Opioid Recoveries. This specific funding avenue is dedicated to eligible non-profit organizations and government entities that deliver substantial benefits to our residents through prevention, intervention, treatment, recovery, and other services addressing the opioid epidemic.

Douglas County Community Grants
The Community Grants program is dedicated to funding the non-profits and government entities that work every day to provide a substantial benefit to the residents of Douglas County.
Authorized under Nevada law (NRS 244.1505) and funded through the County’s General Fund and Social Services Indigent Fund, this program has awarded over $2.1 million over the past 16 years to support a wide variety of charitable, educational, and community-focused missions.
Applications for the FY2026-2027 cycle will be available starting October 1, 2026.
