CY 2027 One Nevada Funding Opportunity
Douglas County is pleased to announce the opening of the CY 2027 One Nevada funding opportunity. The One Nevada Program, established through the Agreement on Allocation of Opioid Recoveries, provides funding to eligible non-profit organizations and government entities that deliver substantial benefits to residents through prevention, intervention, treatment, recovery, and other services addressing the opioid epidemic.
Under Nevada law (NRS 244.1505), the Board of County Commissioners may award grant funding to non-profit community organizations created for religious, charitable, or educational purposes, or to a government entity. Funding can be used for approved purposes that remediate the harms, impact, and risks caused by the opioid epidemic, consistent with Senate Bill 390. One Nevada funds must not be used to supplant existing methods of funding that are available to state, regional, local, or tribal entities.
Application Deadline: Completed applications must be submitted to Douglas County by 11:59 p.m. on October 23, 2026.
Funding Priorities
Funding requests should align with the Douglas County Opioid Use/Opioid Use Disorder Community Needs Assessment (April 2023). Projects may focus on:
- Case management and workforce development
- Opioid prescription education and public awareness campaigns
- School-based prevention initiatives
- Criminal justice interventions
- Detox-to-treatment transition supports
- Aftercare and recovery capital services
- Behavioral health crisis services and housing for those in recovery
- Capital projects related to substance use disorders
Grant Details
- Projects may be funded after the initial application period depending on available resources.
- Funding may be pro-rated to align with the calendar year.
- All awards are contingent upon approval by the Douglas County Board of County Commissioners and appropriation of sufficient funds.
